WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

A website built
around your next step.

For businesses starting online, moving beyond a social profile, or replacing a temporary site with something they can share confidently.

Scope, examples & deliverables

Start with the right structure

You and I decide what visitors need to know first, which services deserve their own space, and where someone should go when they’re ready to contact you.

Bring your business into the design

I work with your logo, colors, photos, and service information to create a consistent design. You review the direction before we settle the details.

Make it work on every screen

The build includes mobile layouts, readable text, clear navigation, accessible page structure, and a direct way to make an inquiry.

Typical deliverables

  • A page structure agreed before the build
  • Custom layouts with your approved content
  • Contact links or a form, depending on the scope
  • Search page titles and descriptions
  • Browser checks, launch help, and website files

EXAMPLE PROJECT · ILLUSTRATIVE

A painting contractor’s first website

A homeowner needs to know which jobs you handle, where you work, and what your finished work looks like. I could build a home page with a clear service area, a services page explaining interior and exterior work, a project gallery using your photos, and a contact page for estimate inquiries.

The inquiry route could ask for a name, contact details, project location, and a short description. You and I agree on the form service and any costs before adding it.

What I need from you

  • Your business name, contact information, and service area
  • A list of services and the details customers regularly ask about
  • Your logo, brand colors if you have them, and photos you have permission to use
  • Approved wording and any genuine reviews you want included
  • Access to the relevant domain or hosting settings when it’s time to launch

How we know it’s ready

I review the agreed pages, check the mobile layout, follow navigation and inquiry links, and confirm the business information is correct. Where a form is included, we test delivery to your chosen inbox with your approval. You approve the finished work before launch.

What changes the scope?

Extra pages, online payments, booking tools, member accounts, and custom integrations need their own requirements. Extensive copywriting, photography, and a new brand identity are also separate from the starter website package.

WEBSITE REDESIGNS

Keep what works.
Improve what doesn’t.

For a site that feels dated, is difficult to use on a phone, or no longer reflects the services you offer.

Scope, examples & deliverables

Review before rebuilding

I look at your current pages, navigation, content, and inquiry path. That helps us decide whether you need a focused update or a more complete rebuild.

Give customers a clearer path

I reorganize the agreed pages so visitors can understand your offer, see relevant work, and find contact details without hunting around.

Plan the changeover

You and I agree which content to keep, what needs replacing, and how the updated site will be launched. Existing page addresses and integrations are reviewed as part of scoping.

Before I quote

Send your current website and the main things you want to improve. Platform limitations, migrations, and third-party tools can affect the scope and price.

EXAMPLE PROJECT · ILLUSTRATIVE

A service business with an outdated site

Suppose your site lists old services, makes project photos hard to find, and has a contact button buried at the bottom. The redesign could simplify the menu, rewrite the service structure using your approved information, organize the gallery, and give each page a clear inquiry link.

I first check which parts of the existing site should stay. A useful page, an established web address, or a working integration may be worth preserving.

The review covers

  • Which pages and service information are still accurate
  • How easily a visitor can find the right service and contact you
  • Text readability, spacing, and navigation on a phone
  • Existing forms, booking links, and other tools the site relies on
  • The current platform, hosting access, and page addresses

A deliberate changeover

The replacement is reviewed in a preview before the live site changes. Where the platform allows it, we plan a backup and identify any old URLs that need redirects. Hosting or platform restrictions are discussed before agreeing on that work.

What I need to quote accurately

Send the current URL, the changes you want, and the platform you use if you know it. Tell me about any features that must keep working. I’ll identify the proposed changes and dependencies before pricing the project.

UPDATES & MAINTENANCE

Keep your website
in step with your work.

For businesses that need an extra pair of hands after launch, whether it’s a small content change or an additional page.

Scope, examples & deliverables

Everyday content changes

Update services, hours, contact information, project photos, and other details as your business changes.

Small improvements and fixes

Get help correcting layout issues, replacing outdated links, or adding a section to an existing page.

A clear scope for each request

Send the changes you need. I’ll confirm what’s involved, the price, and the schedule before starting. Larger additions are scoped as separate projects.

Support that fits the project

Maintenance is optional and quoted separately. It does not include automatic 24/7 monitoring or unlimited changes.

EXAMPLE REQUEST · ILLUSTRATIVE

A new service and fresh project photos

You send the new service description, six approved photos, and the pages that need updating. I confirm whether this fits into existing pages or needs a new page, quote the work, and share the changes for review before publishing.

Common requests

  • Replace old photos and add captions to completed projects
  • Change business hours, phone numbers, or service areas
  • Add a service section or a separately scoped page
  • Correct broken links or small responsive layout issues
  • Update page titles and descriptions when services change

How to send an update

Include the page URL, what should change, the replacement text or files, and your preferred deadline. A screenshot is useful when you’re pointing out a visual problem. I confirm the price and schedule before starting.

After the change

I check the affected pages and links and share the result for review. Any follow-up work outside the agreed request is quoted before it begins.

Support boundaries

This is scheduled website work. Emergency incident response, security monitoring, third-party outages, and guaranteed response times require a separate agreement. Ongoing support availability and the platform are confirmed when you inquire.
